And who would have thought a bunch of truckers in the northern wasteland of wintry Alberta (true frontier working class) would inaugurate and catalyze the visible resistance, one that is only at the beginning and preparing for something much bigger.

Who and what is preparing for something bigger?

Seeing my comment about Biden? I don't. Maybe I need new sunglasses at night.

Anyway. Let me make another comment.

So is it over in Canada too despite us hanging on to all these mandates and recent statements about needing boosters every week?

All I'm gonna say about Biden and the DNC is it was projection all along.

Canada is always slower, because it is a follower of trends. In the past week the media has hammered away at "threats, intimidation, harassment, rage" coming from ordinary citizens--whether it was Freeland, or the elections in Quebec. In Quebec they already arrested and charged a man just for photoshopping blood onto a candidate's sign, as a way of indicating that he had blood on his hands for voting against an inquest into all the seniors' deaths in CHSLDs--it wasn't a death threat, as should have been obvious. Fear of Covid is turning back to fear of the masses in Canada as well, but on a delayed schedule. Watch them paint Poilievre increasingly as a threat to democracy, just as they paint Duhaime as a bringer of "discontent" into the National Assembly.

I go HARD after them on my blog. Wonder if it'll get me in trouble. I hold no punches.

So you're saying we'll just have to endure a bit more pain but it's inevitable reality catches up to dimwitted Canada? The Corner Gas of countries.

About those "dimwitted" Canadians you speak of...with whom I am intimately familiar...I think this quote pretty much sums up the situation:

"Crimestop means the faculty of stopping short, as though by instinct, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. It includes the power of not grasping analogies, of failing to perceive logical errors, of misunderstanding the simplest arguments if they are inimical to Ingsoc, and of being bored or repelled by any train of thought which is capable of leading in a heretical direction. Crimestop, in short, means protective stupidity."

As for Quebec...don't even get me started. I've never found myself in the midst of such indifferent, obsequious, propagandized and neutered people in all my life.
