Canada's Regime Backs Off Travel Restrictions, Thanks to Resistance

More on how "the pandemic" was a political phenomenon from the start

Not since March 11, 2020, has Canada had so few restrictions and mandates—the only ones that remain are mandatory wearing of masks in “public health settings” and the mandates of a select few individual institutions and employers. Today the Trudeau regime announced it was withdrawing its remaining travel restrictions. Regime Media waited no more than six hours to remove the news from the top story position.

The Canadian regime—petty, punitive, vindictive, and ideologically-driven—wants to make sure that Canadians remain blinded beyond the end of this particular ordeal. The regime wants people to believe that the only reason the travel restrictions ended was thanks to those who complied:

Seeking to downplay suggestions already coming from Conservative MPs that the election of Pierre Poilievre as their new leader is the driving force behind this change given his advocacy for dropping COVID-19 mandates, Treasury Board President Mona Fortier told reporters on Monday that: “it’s not politicians who got us here today.”

“It’s Canadians who rolled up their sleeves to get vaccinated. You did your part, you got Canada to a better place,” she said.

As is usually the case, reality is almost exactly the opposite of what the regime describes which, on the best of days, is a simple inversion of reality if not an outright invention. However, nobody was fooled:

Reacting to the news, Poilievre chalked the change of policy up to “constant pressure.”

“None of the science changes October 1 but because of you, Trudeau has to. Let’s keep it up,” he said.

The NDP are calling for the government to offer more details about its rationale for lifting travel restrictions, saying that New Democrats welcome the changes “so long as they are justified by health science and explained transparently to Canadians.

“They must clearly explain how today’s decisions are based on public health science — not political pressure. The Liberals have fallen short on transparency when it comes to pandemic travel restrictions. Canadians deserve to know what changed and why lifting measures is warranted,” said NDP transport critic Taylor Bachrach in a statement.

It’s not politicians who got us here today? Whose decisions put the system in place to begin with? Whose are these non-politicians that ended the system? And if it was all about “vaccination,” then why were the restrictions maintained for a year beyond Canada reaching peak “vaccination” coverage?

The absurd restrictions were designed to subject all Canadians to monitoring and control, and designed to exclusively punish the naturally immune who resisted the investigational medical prototypes. That is why a traveler returning to Canada, who was smart not to have been vaxxed, was forced to quarantine no matter what—while a vaxxed traveler who tested positive for Covid-19 was placed under no such restriction. The regime wanted Canadians to know that if they moved, it was not because they had that right, but because they had that permission, and that privilege could be temporary and was subject to certain conditions.

Was it ordinary Canadians who decided to scare grandmothers with four shots that they would be financially penalized? No, but it was ordinary Canadians who embarrassed the regime with countless video records of the absurdities they faced at points of entry. And when that resistance took the expression of a wave of support for the Conservatives, the regime got frightened.

Nothing is over. There have been no apologies—indeed, the regime is still promising it will reintroduce “certain measures...if needed”.

There has been no compensation. Fines have not been thrown out. There has been no accountability. The laws that permitted such abuses, remain in place.

We have to make sure that the system that permitted such abuses, is changed beyond recognition.

What has changed with Canadian travel:

🔘 Foreign nationals do not need to be vaccinated to enter the country;

🔘 Incoming travelers are not subject to random mandatory COVID-19 tests;

🔘 “Unvaccinated Canadians” will no longer have to isolate when they return and if someone is mid-isolation as of Oct. 1 they do not have to complete the remainder;

🔘 Travelers do not have to monitor or report if they develop COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival;

🔘 Submitting public health information through the ArriveCan app prior to landing will become optional; and,

🔘 It is no longer mandatory to wear a face mask while travelling on planes or trains.

American Discrimination Against Non-Vaxxed Travelers Remains in Place

And, critics of the government’s winter imposition of a vaccine mandate on cross-border truckers, the Private Motor Truck Council of Canada, said it is glad to see this measure come to an end, but noted the U.S. still has a role to play.

“While the Canadian government’s announcement today to end the restrictions on October 1st is welcomed and will help alleviate some of the driver shortage issues by allowing some drivers to return to cross border work, we still need the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security to reciprocate so the Canada-U.S. land border can be fully open again for trade,” said council president Mike Millian in a statement. “We will continue to reach out to our friends south of the border and encourage the entry restrictions to end for those entering the U.S. as well.”

Even with the CDC changing its guidelines on August 11, 2022, the Biden regime continues to ban all unvaxxed foreign nationals from entering the country. Not even Canada maintained such extremism for this long. (source)
